AQUANET: Formación para la gestión eficiente del agua.

AQUANET, is transfer of innovation project frameworked in the Leonardo da Vinci Programme in the Lifelong Learning ambit.

This Project intends to transfer an international reference model for the efficient use of water already validated in the framework of the European LIFE programme, and a virtual platform used as training tool and methodology which was also validated at international level within the Leonardo da Vinci Programme :

Pilot project, MULTIMEDIA TRAINING SYSTEM FOR WORKERS

Nowadays, the thematic subject tackled by both projects are fully current and the need of offering a specific training in devices, technologies and methodologies promoting an “efficient water use and management “ have been evidenced, which constitutes the main topic of this project.

Target groups :

	Workers of local entities and enterprises working on the maintenance of public green areas and who are responsible for irrigation tasks for parks and gardens.
	Sectoral Organizations representing the agriculture sector and its workers, starting for the traditional characteristics of the very same sector.
	Architecture bureaus and engineering entities responsible for the design of green areas, irrigation systems, urban planning and landscape studies in order to promote technical solutions aimed to the efficient water management.
	Educational community and vocational training centres, through a specific didactic guide to promote the cross-learning on systems, technologies and good practices for the efficient use of water.
	Countries and regions participants in the International Exhibition Expo-Zaragoza 2008 and specific accredited MASS MEDIA for such event.
	Public in general for dissemination purposes and sensibilization.

Objetives:

	The project aims at tackling certain needs of continuous training for professional profiles and key sectors for efficient water management.
	Elaboration of a didactic handbook for the adaptation of the workers to the new “efficient water management-related technologies” for the above mentioned professions and key sectors.
	To offer the educational community and vocational training centres a didactic guide on systems, models and good practises for the efficient use of water, in order to foster an e-learning cross-training and its multiplier effect.
	To provide the target public with an e-learning training platform based on the contents developed.
	To elaborate specific dissemination and valorisation products: leaflets, web, video-spots, final publication and institutional presence in the Expo Zaragoza 2008.
	Institutional presence of the Project in the International Exhibition "Expo Zaragoza 2008", under the thematic axis “water and sustainable development..

Results:

	Life-long learning handbook on “efficient water management-related technologies, devices and methodologies” in e-learning modality.
	Didactic Guide to facilitate the cross-learning on models, technologies, methodologies and good practises of efficient water use.
	Virtual e-learning platform for life-long learning in “efficient water management matter”.
	Adhesion, on a European scope, of training centres and European entities to the expert training platform and to an international prospective cell so-called “International Observatory for efficient water management”. .
